Overview
Commissioned to document Ms. Lauryn Hill’s anniversary tour, I was responsible for capturing both the photography and film production throughout the event. This marked our first collaboration and laid the foundation for a long-term creative relationship built on trust and mutual respect.
Challenge
Capture the emotion and cultural significance of an iconic live performance while working discreetly in a fast paced touring environment. Every photograph and film sequence needed to preserve the authenticity of the experience while meeting the expectations of an internationally respected artist and production team.
Approach
I documented the event through a cinematic and documentary driven approach, capturing both the scale of the performance and the intimate moments surrounding it. Following the production, Ms. Lauryn Hill personally expressed her appreciation for my work backstage. That first collaboration established a creative relationship that led to another invitation in 2025 to document her European tour alongside Wyclef Jean and the Fugees.
